On 2nd October 2019, Associate Professor Dr Nor Aliza Abdul Rahim, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs and Alumni delivered a talk entitled 'Life As Undergraduate' at the Lecture Hall, CTF2 from 2pm to 4pm. Some important points are highlighted during the talk. For example, Introduction of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) , Introduction of Faculty Of Medicine And Health Sciences (FMHS) and Student Activities In UNIMAS.
1st Session : Introduction Of UNIMAS
Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Malaysia's eighth university was officially incorporated on 24 December 1992. A university that is contemporary in character and forward-looking in outlook, it is committed in providing the nation with leaders, managers, scientists and technical specialists as well as thoughtful citizens who are capable of handling the complex challenges of our common future - confidently, competently, and creatively.
Led by our current Chancellor, His Excellency The Governor of Sarawak, TYT Tun Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud; and our Vice-Chancellor, YBhg Prof Dato' Dr Mohamad Kadim bin Suaidi, the University now has a total of 10 Faculties, 9 Research Centres, 5 Research Institutes with a total of 44 Undergraduate & 40 Postgraduate Programmes offered.

2nd Session : Introduction Of FMHS
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak started registering its pioneer batch of Medical students in 1995 followed by the students in the Nursing programme in 1998. The planners of the Faculty have put a strong emphasis on quality and the curriculum is comprehensive and is geared towards the total development of students and able to contribute to teamwork.

3rd Session : The Purpose of Going To University
This session are divided into three part: Academic Interest, Future Career and Social Life.
For academic interest, we have to adapt with the new system such as lecture style, exam, assignment, projects , group work and presentations. As a medical student, we are exposed with PBL, Block System and Posting. We were advised to manage our time and stress management wisely to ensure that we were on the right track.
Then, we were briefed about the Future Career and Social Life throughout our medical and nursing years. Students are encouraged to join club and collage activity. Joining this social activities is equally important as academic skills because we get to express ourselves more, work in group, make new friends, adjusting to ne daily schedule and tolerating with the new environment. Besides, we were told about the discipline, welfare and act as a student in FMHS. For example, our dressing etiqutte, attendance, scholarships and more.
The talk was very important for all of us as a medical and nursing students to get to know about “Life As Undergraduate”.
